Sophomore boys from Lenawee Christian School went shopping and filled boxes for Operation Christmas Child on Friday afternoon. Each year the boys get together to package toys, games, hygiene products and candy that are sent to third world countries in time for Christmas. Shoeboxes from throughout the community will be collected at St. John's Lutheran Church on North Adrian Highway beginning Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.

Adrian High School football parents and supporters gathered at the practice field for a rally in which each football player released a balloon dedicated to a person who has been an influence in the young man's life. Throughout the season Annette Glaser and Carolyn Gonzales organized parents who provided snacks after practices and dinners on game nights. The balloon event, which was organized by Jill Johnson and Cindy Sutherland, was a part of the dedicated parents' efforts.
