Wednesday’s Division 4 wrestling team regional final between No. 1-ranked Hudson and No. 4 Addison turned into a chess match.
Both teams kept their lineups close to the vest.
One team benefitted more.
Four-time defending state champion Hudson pulled off surprising switches, compiled bonus points in key matches and defeated county rival Addison 46-18 for the regional championship.
The Tigers (28-6) advanced to next weekend’s state quarterfinals at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.
