Korean War Memorial

- An effort has been started to locally honor one of the country’s often overlooked veterans groups, those who served in the Korean conflict from 1950 to 1953.
A Lenawee County veterans organization wants to upgrade the current marker in Adrian. Dave Loop from the United Veterans Council (UVC) said the group has money left over from the 2010 upgrade to the Vietnam Memorial in Adrian’s Monument Park and wants to honor the Korean War veterans.

- A monument honoring veterans from the U.S. Revolutionary War through modern-day conflicts will be unveiled at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Green’s Lakeside Cemetery on Manitou Road. The cemetery is just east of Shady Shore Drive on the south side of Devils Lake.

Madison vs Sand Creek Softball

- The Madison High School softball team welcomed the Sand Creek Aggies in a Tri-County Conference game Wednesday. Madison gave its seniors quite the sendoff in their last home game, winning 10-9 in a wild one.

Madison vs Sand Creek Baseball

- Six runs in the second inning were all Kyle Keller needed as he pitched the Sand Creek High School baseball team to a 6-2 Tri-County Conference win over the Madison Trojans Wednesday. Keller struck out nine Trojans in recording the complete game win.
